With the formal inclusion of the circular economy agenda into the core programme of the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) and China’s announcement of its new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC), global climate governance is reaching a critical turning point. China has always been a steadfast actor in pursuing green and low-carbon transition. It has deeply integrated the circular economy into its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, continuously exploring new pathways to decouple economic growth from resource consumption.
The Hainan Free Trade Port, as pioneering policy innovation, is capitalizing on its unique natural advantages to accelerate its vision of becoming a “Low-Carbon Island” and “Zero-Waste Island”. Following the implementation island-wide special customs operations on December 18, 2025, Hainan will further facilitate green trade, carbon market mechanisms, and cross-border cooperation, strengthening its role in the global green value chain.
At this historic convergence, the 2025 (4th) Impact Climate Innovation Conference, under the theme “Pioneering Sustainable Future”, will feature Opening Ceremony & Keynote Forum, 8 sub-forums, exhibition, and interactive sessions. The event will convene influential representatives and professional audiences from government, academia, corporations, investment institutions, media, and social organizations. It aims to bridge China’s latest climate commitments with the practical advancements of the Hainan Free Trade Port, driving the circular economy from strategic planning to industrial implementation and international collaboration.
Your participation will enable us to jointly open an innovative chapter in climate integration, and we look forward to having you with us at this remarkable moment.
