Prof. Liu Zhu is a Tenured Professor and Principle Investigator at Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University. Zhu initiated and led the Carbon Monitor project that provides first ever global daily CO2 emission dataset. Zhu initiated China Exo-Ecosystem Space Experiment (CHEESE) based on Tiangong Space Station (Nature Astronomy 2023).
Zhu authored about 60 academic publications (See Google citation page). Zhu’s research has also been covered by 300+ international media outlets including by Nature, Science, New York Times, BBC, and CNN, and has been cited by policy stakeholders as scientific basis for environmental policies. Zhu is the global highly citied researcher (ranking in the top 1% by citations). Zhu is the awardee of the highly citied researcher by Web of Science, the National Qiushi Scholarship and the 35 Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review.

The Impact Climate Innovation Conference is an international platform for cooperation and exchange in the climate field, dedicated to connecting innovators, decision-makers and actors from different industries and multiple subjects, accelerating the green low-carbon transition and global emission reduction process through innovation and cross-border cooperation, and jointly building a sustainable future.
With the support of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Hainan Province and Department of Commerce of Hainan Province, the conference has been listed as a “Hainan Provincial Exhibition Project” for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024.
