Director, Shanghai Changning District Urban Renewal and Low-carbon Project Management Center
From 2013 to 2018, he was responsible for implementing the World Bank’s Shanghai Low Carbon City Project. The project is centered around Changning District in Shanghai, with a focus on low-carbon construction. Since the implementation of the project, the organization has carried out energy-saving renovations and institutional innovations for approximately 3 million square meters of large existing public buildings. Since the release of the national “dual carbon target”, a series of innovative practices have been implemented, including near zero carbon emission buildings, habitat gardens, green low-carbon resilient communities, public disclosure of building energy efficiency benchmarking rankings, and the CN100 building carbon neutrality initiative mechanism.
