Before joining Agora Energy China, he had affiliated with State Grid Hebei Electric Power Co., Ltd., State Grid Energy Research Institute, National Energy Administration of P.R.C., and the Headquarter of State Grid Corporation of China, respectively. Dr. YIN’s main areas of work include energy strategy and policy, electricity pricing policy, power market and carbon market, new power system, new energy and distributed renewable energy, international energy and power policy and market. He has presided over and researched dozens of national and provincial energy and power related projects, and has formed a number of influential research results in related fields and directions. As of 2024, he has published more than 200 professional articles.Dr. Yin obtained his PhD and bachelor’s degree on electric power system and automation from North China Electric Power University.
