Zhang Hua, Senior Engineer and Director of Low-Carbon Development at the China Chemical Information Center, is responsible for research on energy conservation and low-carbon initiatives in the chemical industry. With nearly a decade of experience in sustainability research within the chemical sector, she has supported over 400 chemical enterprises in energy conservation and low-carbon efforts. For five consecutive years, she has assisted national authorities in climate change research related to the chemical industry. In 2021, she was appointed by the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment as a member of the expert database for the National Carbon Market Assistance Platform. Additionally, she serves as Secretary-General of the National Chemical Energy Conservation (Emission Reduction) Center, a Young Researcher in the Beijing Association for Science and Technology’s Expert Team for Decision-Making Consultations on Chemical New Materials and Low-Carbon Development, an expert in the carbon emissions field of the China Standards & Testing Group Standards Committee, a member of the Carbon Neutrality Expert Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, and an expert in the carbon emissions field of the China Standards & Testing Group Standards Committee.
