Since 2022, the China Fashion & Color Association has launched the “Sustainable Color, Sustainable Fashion” project, aiming to leverage the premium potential of color design to balance the rising costs of material application for sustainable products. Moreover, by integrating the color value chain with the supply chain, the industrial process can be further optimized and the application of sustainable methods in the industrial sector can be improved. It also uses the emotional attributes of colors to align value recognition between the industrial and consumer ends, establishing a new circular pathway.

During this process, through steps such as standard formulation, certification cooperation, and industrial implementation, the construction of a horizontal circular model for the industry is gradually advanced. This promotion and implementation, from a comprehensive perspective, interprets and explains the formulation ideas and contents of the world’s first design standard for “circular apparel”, and introduces the related application achievements after its release, serving as a references for the sustainable development of various enterprises.
