Professor Sun Wei has long been engaged in research on global change and ecosystem carbon cycling. He has secured and led 16 research projects, including those under the Key Research and Development Program and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 150 papers in prestigious journals such as Science, Science Advances, Ecology, and Journal of Ecology. He was selected for the Ministry of Education’s “Program for New Century Excellent Talents” and has received the Young Scientist Award of the Ecological Society of China and the Jilin Province Natural Science Prize (Second Class). Currently, he holds the positions of Vice Chairman of the Chinese Grassland Society and Secretary-General of the Jilin Provincial Ecological Society. He also serves as an Associate Editor for The Rangeland Journal and an Editorial Board Member for Plant and Soil.
