Deputy Secretary-General, Heyi Green Foundation
Ms. Zhang Yijun began managing community biodiversity conservation demonstration projects in 2007, and since 2019 has focused on solid waste management and low-carbon communities, gradually expanding her work to circular economy development. The projects she leads cover resource recycling in areas such as new energy sectors, agricultural waste, and bulk solid waste. Through empowering grassroots civil society organizations, collaborative research, and pilot implementation, and policy advocacy, she promotes the integration of resource cycling with climate and environmental protection. In addition, she has designed and managed industrial emission reduction and industrial transition projects. Before joining the Heyi Green Foundation, Ms. Zhang oversaw environmental law initiatives at the American Bar Association for four years, and previously worked at Conservation International and the International Poverty Reduction Center in China. She holds a Master of Public Policy degree.
