Ms. Zhong is currently an expert in regional and urban planning, specializing in industrial policy research and planning, as well as regional and transportation planning. She has extensive working experience in top planning and design institutions in the Greater Bay Area, including AECOM Hong Kong and the Shenzhen Office of the Chinese Academy of Urban Planning and Design.
Throughout her seven-year career in planning practices, Ms. Zhong has been continuously leading and participating in projects related to industry research, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) studies, spatial planning, and transportation planning, with a particular emphasis on the Greater Bay Area. She has also gained practical experience in other regions such as the Yangtze River Delta, the Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area, Wuhan, Nanchang, and other cities. In addition, Ms. Zhong is active in the academic discourse on urban studies. Her research has been presented at conferences such as the Annual National Planning Conference and the World Transport Convention, and her work has been published in key academic journals like “Network and Spatial Economics”.
Ms. Zhong graduated from South China University of Technology with a bachelor’s degree and obtained her graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She holds the title of Intermediate Engineer in Urban and Rural Planning, PMP (Project Management Professional), and a System Integration Project Management Engineer certificate. In addition to her outstanding professional achievements, Ms. Zhong is also a volunteer with Citipedia, actively organizing and participating in Citywalk activities. She was a key member in organizing “Jane’s Walk” in Guangzhou in 2023 with ITDP, as well as “Urban Youth Walk” in Shenzhen in 2019 with China Vanke Co., Ltd.
