Cao Haidong is a member of the editorial board of Southern Weekend Newspaper, director of Beijing News Center, director of Green News Department, and vice president of Southern Weekend Research Institute. He is also an invited observer of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and a director of the China Environmental Journalists Association and Specially invited observer for ecological environment in Sichuan Province. Cao Haidong has long been concerned about the environment, energy, climate change, health and other fields. In 2009, he participated in the founding of the Green Edition of Southern Weekend, which is committed to building a communication platform for government, enterprise and academic media in the green field.
