Yang Biao, Ph.D. in Ecology, Secretary General of Beijing Entrepreneur Environmental Protection Foundation (SEE Foundation), Council Member of China Zoological Society, Member of its Conservation Biology Sub-Committee and Mammalogy Sub-Committee, Member of the Expert Committee of All-China Environment Federation, Member of the Expert Committee of Eco Forum Global Guiyang, Member of the Chinese Reference Group for the Green List of Protected Areas and the OECMs Reference Group of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). He mainly engages in research on the distribution, ecology and conservation strategies of rare wild animals and plants; field surveys and conservation research on giant pandas and other rare flora and fauna; conservation and management of nature reserves as well as economic and social survey research in surrounding communities; responses of biodiversity to climate change, carbon sinks and carbon neutrality; and formulation of biodiversity conservation strategies and plans.
