Research Analyst in the Sustainable Finance Program, World Resources Institute (WRI) China
Zhenyu Ma is a Research Analyst in the Sustainable Finance Program at the World Resources Institute (WRI) China, where he works on research and projects related to green finance. His research interests include climate risk management frameworks for financial institutions, climate stress testing and risk assessment methodologies, nature-related risks, and the translation of risk assessment results into actionable tools for investment decision-making and policy design. He also works on biodiversity and finance, environmental risk identification and quantification, and the role of insurance mechanisms in advancing climate adaptation finance, and has contributed to related research and policy outputs.
He has worked in Europe for several years, engaging in research and consulting in the fields of sustainability and climate change, with experience spanning agriculture and land use, carbon accounting, and environmental and climate risk analysis. He holds an MSc in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
