As a media professional and cross-disciplinary practitioner, Gillian has long worked at the forefront of storytelling, ecosystem building, and sustainability innovation. She joined Impact Hub Shanghai in 2019, leading community development and partnership engagement. As a Partner today, she oversees the organization’s net-zero innovation programs and initiatives. She also serves as the Managing Director of the 1.5DO Climate Innovation Lab, dedicated to driving system-level transformation grounded in climate ambition.
Her work spans national SOEs, multinational corporations, and industry leaders across energy, steel, chemicals, buildings, mobility, culture & tourism, consumer goods, technology, and finance. She has authored several research publications, including Innovation Ecosystems Enabling Net-Zero Transition, A Framework for Assessing Climate Technologies and Stakeholder Needs, and Innovation Opportunities in China’s Building Materials Sector under the “Zero-Carbon Yangtze” Vision.

The Impact Climate Innovation Conference is an international platform for cooperation and exchange in the climate field, dedicated to connecting innovators, decision-makers and actors from different industries and multiple subjects, accelerating the green low-carbon transition and global emission reduction process through innovation and cross-border cooperation, and jointly building a sustainable future.
With the support of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Hainan Province and Department of Commerce of Hainan Province, the conference has been listed as a “Hainan Provincial Exhibition Project” for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024.
