Dr. Lu Zhiyao is an environmental philanthropist and the director of the Climate Change and Business Sustainability Project at the Beijing Entrepreneur Environmental Foundation (SEE Foundation). She leads a team to promote corporate climate action, green supply chain, environmental governance, energy transformation, and waste management projects, bringing together the power of the business community and environmental organizations to jointly promote pollution reduction, carbon reduction, and ecological environment improvement.
She is a PhD candidate in ecology jointly trained by Central University for Nationalities and Yale University, and a visiting scholar at Columbia University and the New York Botanical Garden. She has studied the relationship between the environment of ethnic minority areas in China and traditional ethnic culture, policies, etc., and has published several papers. She is also a member of the “Homeward Bound” global female scientist leadership training and Antarctic expedition project in China, one of the authors of the book “The Ones We Choose”, the editor in chief of the book “Carbon Neutrality Action – Green Public Welfare Promoting Climate Governance”, and a TEDx speaker.
